GALA PLANS UNDERWAY!
Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 1 as the 2007 Holiday Gala and Auction promises to be one of the best ever!
Our venue is the magnificent Artifacts Gallery at St. James. Many of you may know this as the former St. James church in the West End. The interior of this historic church has been meticulously restored and now serves as a spectacular gallery for a portion of the Artifacts art collection. The interior is highlighted by towering stained glass that encompasses the building and which remains unobstructed due to the well thought-out gallery design. Guests will be able to eat, drink and make their auction selections, all the while surrounded by some of the most beautiful art available in the region. Guests who venture upstairs to the enormous choir loft will be treated to a whole new perspective of the art and architecture. Adjoining the choir loft is the bell tower which will be transformed into an intimate lounge serving up our signature “Craftinis”.
As always, we will be offering an exciting array of items in our Live, Silent and Chinese auctions. Last year, our auctions raised more than $4,500 for our fundraising efforts and we are expecting big things this year as well. Watch for your next newsletter or check our website as we announce auction details!
This year, many fine sponsors have joined us in support of our event. In addition to donating the St. James venue, Artifacts will also be hosting a special preview in their grand showrooms beginning one hour prior to the gala. As a festive highlight, a live Christmas tree will be provided by Rossman’s Hemlock Dell Tree Farm, supplier of the Heinz Hall Christmas tree. Shaw’s Beer on Noble Avenue will be providing our foaming libations, and our newest sponsor, Barefoot Wines, will be providing red and white wine as well as champagne. Many thanks go to these great folks as we move forward in our preparations.
Like always, we need volunteers to assist with tasks large and small. If you would like to help before, during or after the event, please contact any of the committee members below:
